That's me in the above photo along with my big brother Harry, Jr. Our father, Harry Franklin Pugh, Sr., was a three time record breaking gold medalist track star in the one mile relay at the prestigious 1951 and 1952 Penn Relays in Pennsylvania. Since 1982, Renée, my wife/co-founder, and I have documented black lives around the world. To date, we own the copyrights to over 10 terabytes (over 900 hours) of rare original content we produced here in the US, in Africa, The Caribbean and Haiti.
MORE THAN 65 YEARS IN THE MAKING
This network was originally started in 1953 by my grandfather, Melville Westbrook Pugh, Sr., when he purchased one of the first 8mm home movie film cameras when they first hit the market.. He and other filmmakers in that era were the pioneers of what is now called "Reality Television".
There are many hours of this rare 8mm home movie footage that tell the stories of the emerging black middle class during that time in history.
It's this type of rare footage along with old photographs, VHS video tape, Digital Video, HD Video and now even 4K video that will showcase rare never before seen stories of black lives from around the world.

OUR FIRST FEATURE FILM PROJECT
Currently, Black History Cinema, Inc. is developing a timely feature length motion picture based on the true story of Dick, the double agent slave spy who helped save America in the war of 1812.
I know the story of Dick very well because I played him in the 1976 Baltimore Bicentennial stage play, "Never Prod A Hornet" that told the story of the heroes in that war. Click Here to see 1976 Newspaper Article.
It was Dick's espionage work and cunning intelligence that significantly weakened the British army that allowed the handful of American militia to overpower the well trained and well armed army.
HOW YOUR DONATIONS WILL BE USED
All donations made will be used to fund this feature film project as well as other productions we have at various stages of development.
These productions include documentaries, historical re-enactment films, podcasts, television shows, web series, one-minute historical vignettes and much more.
